/hyperpower:resume

Rerun a stopped run from any step.

Reference

/hyperpower:resume 4f2a --from gates

When to use it

A run stopped and you fixed the cause. You want to continue without starting over.

What you get

It shows which files changed since each step. Then it reruns the step you chose and every step after it.

How it works

A run can stop because a check failed, or because you stopped it. This picks the run back up without redoing the steps that were fine.

Before it does anything else, it checks which files changed since each step:

Resume run 4f2a from Gates.
  Understand ok
  Plan ok
Build DRIFTED — 3 files changed since this step
Re-run from Build instead? [build / gates-anyway / abort]

Read that report. If you edited files by hand after the build step, the saved result of that step no longer matches the code. Running the checks on top of it tells you nothing useful.

Choose gates-anyway when your own edit was the fix and you know exactly what you changed. hyperpowers offers this choice, and only you can pick it.

You can use latest anywhere a run id is accepted, so you rarely need to look one up.
