After you install, this is all it takes.

  2. Click Create Walkthrough

In the Hyperpowers panel, under Code Reviews, click Create Walkthrough (the + at the top).

  3. Paste the pull request

Paste its link or type its number. Your Claude Code reads the change and explains it. A small one takes about a minute, a big one a few, and you see progress as it goes.

You need Claude Code installed and signed in to create a walkthrough. Someone sent you a .walkthrough file? Click Load Walkthrough File and pick it. You don’t need Claude Code to read one.

Before you install

Do I need Claude Code?

Only to create a walkthrough, which runs on your own Claude Code. Anyone you share a walkthrough with can read it without Claude Code.

Is the extension free?

Yes. Creating a walkthrough uses your own Claude Code plan, like any other Claude Code session.

Does it post comments to GitHub on its own?

No. Your comments stay in VS Code until you press Submit review.

Where does my code go?

To your own Claude Code, the same as any session you run. Passwords and keys are removed before anything is sent. The extension also checks hyperpowers.dev for updates.

How do I know the explanations are right?

Check them. Each explanation sits next to the code it describes, so a wrong one is easy to spot.

Does it work in Cursor or Antigravity?

Yes. Any editor built on VS Code, like Cursor, Windsurf or Antigravity, installs it from the same .vsix file: open Extensions and choose Install from VSIX.

Does it work without GitHub?

You can read any git repository. Posting your review needs GitHub.

Know what’s in it before it ships.

Free for VS Code. Runs on your own Claude Code.
