/hyperpower:council

Ask several agents one question, each answering on its own.

When to use it

You face a judgement call and want opinions that did not influence each other.

What you get

Separate answers from the agents whose areas the question touches, then a tally.

How it works

You ask a question. Agents from the areas it touches each answer it, and no agent sees another agent's answer.

That separation matters. An agent that reads another answer first tends to lean toward it, and the result only looks like agreement. Five agents who agree after thinking on their own tell you something. Five agents who agree because they read the first answer tell you nothing.

The agents are listed in departments.yml. There are six areas. Each area has two agents that start from opposite priorities: fe-architect against fe-shipper, be-architect against be-pragmatist, infra-reliability against infra-cost, product-manager against product-analyst, ux-designer against ux-reasoner, and reviewer against skeptic.

A normal council asks two areas, which is four agents. --full asks all twelve and costs more, so it runs only when you ask for it by name.

The tally reports any agent that failed to answer.

hyperpowers writes a decision record only after you accept a recommendation.
